HELEN R. McLOSKEY, 89



AUSTINTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Good Hope Lutheran Church, North Lima, for Helen R. McLoskey, 89, of Omni Manor Nursing Home, formerly of South Raccoon Road, who died Sunday afternoon in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mrs. McLoskey was born March 27, 1911, in Punxsutawney, Pa., a daughter of John and Anna Vijeck Kopstoffer, coming to this area as a child.
She was employed by The Youngstown Club as a salad chef in the 1920s and '30s, and was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church and a member of Austintown Grange.
Her husband, William, whom she married Sept. 30, 1930, died Sept. 15, 1959.
She leaves two daughters, Helen L. Citizen of Austintown and Irene M. Bentley of North Lima; a son, William P. of Poland; a sister, Irene Halt-Constance of Boardman; a brother, Joseph Stoffer of Poland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mary Straley and Ann Recce, and four brothers, Edward, John, Andrew and Thomas, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown, and for one hour before services in the church Thursday.
Contributions may be made to Mahoning County Chapter of the American Cancer Society or the donor's favorite charity.
