NILES -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Robert P. McDermott Funeral Home for Harold L. Kuhn, 71, of 425 Seneca St., who died Sunday morning at Specialty Hospital Mahoning Valley, Youngstown, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Kuhn was born June 22, 1929, in Hundred, W.Va., a son of Arlie and Linnie McDonnell Kuhn.
He served in the Army Air Corps. He worked at Cowger Tree Service as a tree surgeon and at the Cleveland Steel Container Corp. for 17 years before retiring in 1994.
He attended the Grace Church of Nazarene, Mineral Ridge, and was a member of AMVETS Post 206, a 29-year member of the Niles Moose Lodge 627, and made several trips to Moose Heart, the home of Moose International. He was also a master woodcarver.
He leaves his wife, the former Lois Patricia Johnson; two sons, William and Bruce, both of Chicago; two daughters, Nancy Nash of Chicago and Debbie Maszka of Layton, Utah; a stepdaughter, Joyce Drenning of Blairsville, Pa.; four brothers, Junior and Edward, both of Burton, W.Va., Dale of Glovers Gap, W.Va. and Perry of Lilton, W.Va.; three sisters, Ruby Postlethwait of Mineral Ridge, Jean Yoho of Beloit and Patty Sayers of Niles; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Kenneth, Ted and Dexter; and three sisters, Wilma Grimm, Virginia Yoho and Mary Elizabeth, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Loyal Order of The Moose will have services at 6:45 p.m.
