EDNA L. SALMINEN, 89

HOWLAND -- Services will be at noon Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Warren, for Edna L. Salminen, 89, of 7642 Raglan Drive N.E., who died Monday morning at home.
Mrs. Salminen was born June 20, 1911, in Youngstown, a daughter of Carl B. and Anna Mae Francis Leet, and lived in the area all her life.
She retired in 1972 after 27 years at Packard Electric Division of General Motors, where she was a quality control inspector. She attended St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Her husband, Toivo, died Feb. 6, 2001.
She leaves a daughter, Gail Knapp of Warren, with whom she made her home; a brother, Carl B. Leet Jr. of Youngstown; a sister, Henrietta Sturbois of Holiday, Fla.; a grandson; and three great-grandsons.
A brother, Clarence W. Leet; a sister, Anna Mae Sandy; and a granddaughter, are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Hospice of Northeast Ohio.
