ROSALIE WASSON, 81



LACKAWANNOCK TOWNSHIP -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at John Flynn Funeral Home in Hermitage for Rosalie Wasson, 81, of 1062 Bend Road, who died Saturday afternoon in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, after a long illness.
Mrs. Wasson was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Tridelphia, W.Va., a daughter of William T. and Magdalena Zubal Chupak.
A 1938 graduate of Hickory High School, she also graduated from Bruce Caldwell Beauty Academy in Sharon.
She worked for Shenango Pottery of New Castle, and Ravenna Arsenal during World War II. After the war, she became co-owner of Pearl-Rose Beauty Salon in Mercer. She was a member of a bridge club.
Besides her husband, Woodrow, whom she married Nov. 19, 1949, she leaves four sisters, Anne Kudelko and Julie Chupak, both of New Wilmington, Esther Chupak of Hermitage and Sophia Blanar of Hartville, Ohio; a brother, Frank Chupak of Lakewood, Calif.; and a niece whom she helped rear, Eileen Fisher of Cambridge, Wis.
Two sisters, Mary Rawe and Lillian Hurchanik, and five brothers, John, William, Joseph, George and Harry Chupak, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
