EAST PALESTINE -- Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Glenview Cemetery for Paulette D. Payne, 53, of 3768 N. Pleasant Drive, who died of cancer Sunday morning at home after a two-year illness.
Ms. Payne was born Nov. 4, 1947, in St. Mary's, W.Va., a daughter of William and Gladys Schultz Hashman, and came to East Palestine 24 years ago.
She was a paramedic with the East Palestine Volunteer Fire Department and for Unity Township Volunteer Fire Department.
She leaves three sons, Dale of Salem, Douglas of Run Oak, Va., and Joseph of Dilton, Okla.; four brothers, Michael Hashman of Columbiana and Steven, Rick and Scott Hashman, all of Aliquippa; four sisters, Susan Reed and Tina Hashman, both of Aliquippa, Tammy Hashman of St. Mary's and Beverly Maylon of East Palestine; four grandchildren; and her companion, William J. Weber at home.
A brother, Roger Hashman, is deceased.
There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Akron Children's Hospital Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home.
