OHIO TURNPIKE Local projects



Deck replacement and repainting will occur on the Lintz-Townline Bridge at milepost 214.5 in Trumbull County, with at least two turnpike lanes to be maintained at all times in this three-lane section of the turnpike. No lanes will be closed between noon and 10 p.m. Friday and Sunday. Lintz-Townline Road will close for the redecking. The $1.26 million project begins this month and continues into October.
Ongoing renovation of the toll plazas at state Route 7 in North Lima and at the I-680 interchange, both in Mahoning County, will continue until November, with traffic to be maintained through both plazas throughout the reconstruction. The $5.91 million project, which includes new toll booths, canopies and utility sbuildings at both interchanges, was awarded to A. P. O'Horo Co. of Youngstown.
Eleven miles of road resurfacing and 18 miles of guardrail upgrading, beginning at the Pennsylvania line, starts this month and ends in November. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction using median crossovers, except in July and August when two lanes will be opened in each direction. This is a $5.38 million project.
