JOHN MITCHELL, 69

WARREN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home for John Mitchell, 69, of 24 W. Chestnut Ave., Norwalk, Ohio, formerly of Warren, who died Friday in Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk.
Mr. Mitchell was born April 6, 1931, in Warren, a son of Michael and Anna Prokop Mitchell, and lived in Norwalk since 1997. He retired in 1993 as an electrician for Ohio Edison Co., where he worked for 35 years. He was an American Red Cross blood donor, and served in the Army during the Korean War.
He leaves a son, John M. in California; a daughter, Lynn Reid of Norwalk; two brothers, Paul E. of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Frank L. of Kennewick, Wash.; two sisters, Patricia A. Shurtleff of Warren and Nancy J. Knapp of Las Vegas, Nev.; and five grandchildren.
A brother, Daniel, and a sister, Rose Marie Kruppa, are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
