YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home for John D. Williams Jr., 47, of 240 Curry Place, who died of a heart attack Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Williams, also known as "J.D.," was born April 23, 1953, in Youngstown, a son of John D. Sr. and Thelma Smith Madkins Williams, and was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of South High School, he attended Youngstown State University. He was a Mahoning County auxiliary deputy sheriff and was a loss prevention supervisor with Kaufman's distribution center for nine years.
Besides his father of Youngstown, he leaves his wife, the former Sandra Jones, whom he married June 14, 1966; a daughter, Eboni E. Williams of Youngstown; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Smith of Glen Burnie, Md.; a sister, Barbara Williams of Youngstown; a brother, Darryl Williams of Austintown; and three grandchildren.
A brother, Dwayne, is deceased.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
