ELIZABETH T. PETRO, 80

BOARDMAN -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Charles Church for Elizabeth T. Petro, 80, of 7148 West Blvd., formerly of Salinas Trail, who died Friday morning at Shepherd Woods Nursing Center.
Mrs. Petro was born Sept. 28, 1920, in West Leisenring, Pa., a daughter of Daniel and Mary Thomas Vasko, and came to this area as a teen-ager.
She graduated in 1939 from South High School, was a homemaker, and had worked at Republic Rubber. She was a member of the church and a former member of its Senior Citizens Group.
She was a veteran of World War II, serving with the WAVES in the Navy in Pensacola, Fla.
Her husband, John, whom she married June 12, 1948, died Jan. 11, 1993.
She leaves a daughter, Dolores J. Janik of Boardman; a son, John S. of Berlin Center; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, Julius, Frank, Joseph and John Vasko; and two sisters, Ann Doroski and Mary Dutko, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
