RICHARD A. PARKER Sr., 65
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., with full military honors for Richard A. Parker Sr., 65, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Youngstown, who died March 5 in Tampa, Fla., of pneumonia after a short illness. Mr. Parker was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Youngstown, a son of Rollin W. Sr. and Frances Patton Parker. He retired from the Navy after 21 years of service. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation, Dept. WETC, 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 123, Washington, D.C. 20004-2608. Arrangements were by Everly Wheatly Funeral Home, Alexandria, Va.
ELIZABETH PUHAK GERCHAK, 83
SHARON, Pa. -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, for Elizabeth Puhak Gerchak, 83, of 1054 Hillcrest St., who died Thursday afternoon in Sharon Regional Health System after being stricken at her home. Mrs. Gerchak, who was known as "Betty," was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Sharon, a daughter of George and Anna Dzurisko Puhak. She was a homemaker. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Pustinger Funeral Home, Farrell, where the rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. by the church Rosary Society and the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, and a prayer service will be at 4 p.m. A prayer service will also be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
