RICHARD A. PARKER Sr., 65
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., with full military honors for Richard A. Parker Sr., 65, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Youngstown, who died March 5 in Tampa, Fla., of pneumonia after a short illness.
Mr. Parker was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Youngstown, a son of Rollin W. Sr. and Frances Patton Parker. He retired from the Navy after 21 years of service. Before that he was employed by Boardman Township for five years.
He leaves his wife, the former Joni Doi, whom he married in October 1973; two daughters, Cheryl Eakin of Duncanville, Texas, and Alice Parker of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, Richard A. Jr. of Willis, Texas; two brothers, Rollin W. Parker Jr. of Youngstown and Thomas G. Parker of Hendersonville, N.C.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
