PHILLIP PEZZUTO Jr., 70



POLAND -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, Struthers, for Phillip Pezzuto Jr., 70, of 64 Orchard Drive, who died late Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Pezzuto was born April 24, 1930, in Youngstown, a son of Phillip Sr. and Lillian Girardi Pezzuto, and was a lifelong area resident.
He attended East High School and worked for 40 years for Ohio Bell/Ameritech before retiring in 1992 from its engineering department. He was a member of the church and its Holy Name Society, and the Telephone Pioneers Club, and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
His first wife, the former Dorothy Zuga, whom he married June 6, 1953, died June 18, 1991.
Besides his wife, the former Carole A. Yeropoli, whom he married June 28, 1992, he leaves a daughter, Susan L. Kelly of Canfield; two sons, Phillip J. of Austintown and Jeffrey P. of Liberty; a stepson, Keith A. Yeropoli of Campbell; three sisters, Alda Reszke of Minerva, and Edith Harris and Theresa Sandy, both of Poland; two brothers, Frank of Lexington, Ky., and Michael of Cape Coral, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
A sister, Rose Magnetta, and four brothers, Alfred, Albert, Joseph and Dominic, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
