JANETTA VAUGHN, 77

AUSTINTOWN -- Graveside services were Wednesday in Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown, for Janetta Vaughn, 77, of Austinwoods Rehabilitation Center, who died of respiratory failure March 1 in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Miss Vaughn was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of William S. and Armelia Curtis Vaughn. A 1941 graduate of The Rayen School, she was a secretary in Detroit, where she attended Wayne State University for two years, majoring in journalism. Her father was a former Youngstown 3rd Ward councilman.
Among others, she leaves a brother, Lawrence Vaughn of Youngstown, and a niece, Jacqueline Boatwright of Youngstown, who also was her guardian.
A brother, William S. Jr., and three sisters, Ada White, Mae Young and Jean Graham, are deceased.
Arrangements were by Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
