DAVID A. McMURRAY, 62



NORTH LIMA -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Good Hope Lutheran Church, Market Street, for David A. McMurray, 62, of 1294 W. Western Reserve Road, who died Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. McMurray was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a son of L. Maynard and Jean Hollis McMurray, and came to this area in 1965.
He had attended Indiana University in Indiana, Pa., and retired in 1994 as assistant treasurer of the Dollar Bank, where he worked for 30 years. Dollar Bank later became National City Bank. He was also the branch manager at Lincoln Knolls Branch, South Side Branch and the Downtown Branch. He was an accountant for the Boardman License Bureau and also for Peppel Milk Transfer in Greenford, Ohio. He was also the owner of Family Ceramics.
He was a member of Good Hope Church and was its treasurer and organist. He also was organist and choir director for several other churches before Good Hope. He was a member of Dollar Bank Retirees and Mahoning County Model Club, and he built, repaired and upgraded computers.
Besides his wife, the former Ruth Walters, whom he married Oct. 14, 1958, he leaves two sons, Michael of Austintown and Jeffrey of Walkertown, N.C.; a daughter, Sandra Huddleston of Boardman; a sister, Judith Gibson of Kettering, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home and for one hour before the services Friday in the church.
