YOUNGSTOWN Humility of Mary helps parents with day care
Discounts will be available at several area day-care facilities.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The cost of day care is about to go down for parents employed by Humility of Mary Health Partners.
HMHP was to announce a new joint venture today with Wee Care Day Care and Learning Centre, which will provide employee discounts and subsidies to any of the health-care company's Mahoning Valley employees in need of child day-care services. HMHP employs 4,500.
Wee Care Day Care and Learning Centre already offers reduced rates for St. Elizabeth Health Center workers at its Ford Avenue location only.
The new arrangement will cover other Wee Care locations in Warren and Boardman, on the Youngstown State University campus and at Lads 'N' Lasses in Boardman.
Workers at St. Elizabeth's, St. Joseph Health Center, HM Home Care, HM Home Therapies & amp; Medical Equipment, Hospice of the Valley, The Assumption Village and Humility House will be eligible.
How much: Subsidies will be on a sliding scale based on income, and some employees could save up to $8 per day.

Donna McGrath is the president of Wee Care, which offers care for children 6 weeks to 10, flexible scheduling, physical therapy, occupational therapy and family counseling.
