GOLDIE MAY SITLER, 86

NEW WATERFORD -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana, for Goldie May Sitler, 86, of Salem Convalescent Center, formerly of Creek Road, who died Monday in the center, where she had been a patient for four years.
Mrs. Sitler was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Newell, W.Va., a daughter of Jeddie and Minta Elkins Spencer. She moved to New Waterford from Wellsville in 1970.
She had been a cook and baker at Heck's Restaurant in Columbiana for many years, where she was known as "The Pie Lady."
Her husband, Curt, whom she married Nov. 15, 1969, died Dec. 15, 1971.
She leaves a son, Charles Spears of New Waterford; a sister, Minnie Striker of Irondale; a brother, Jeddie of East Liverpool; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before services at the funeral home.
