EDWARD L. KULNIS, 83



FARRELL, Pa. -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell, for Edward L. Kulnis, 83, of 1415 Roemer Blvd., who died Tuesday afternoon in Sharon Regional Health System hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Kulnis was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Farrell, a son of Konstanty and Wladyslawa Maciorowska Kulnis.
He retired in 1979 as a group leader for Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric, where he worked 43 years. A 1936 graduate of Farrell High School, he was a member of the church, Farrell VFW Post 5286, and many local bowling and golf leagues. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater and achieving the rank of sergeant.
Besides his wife, Irene, whom he married July 11, 1959, he leaves a son, Edward of Birmingham, Mich.; and two sisters, Frances Wojnarski of Mishawaka, Ind., and Genevieve Bayus of Hubbard.
A brother, Joseph A., is deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at A.E. Pustinger Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m.
