WALTER JAMES KOCHOLEK SR., 57

MERCER, Pa. -- Private services will be conducted for Walter James Kocholek Sr., 57, of 745 Greenville Road, who died of cancer Friday afternoon at UPMC Farrell Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Kocholek was born Jan. 9, 1944, in Sharon, a son of Walter S. and Helen Sorensky Kocholek.
A Catholic, he graduated in 1962 from Hickory High School and worked 28 years as a laborer at Sharon Steel Corp.
He leaves his wife, the former Sally Ann Repas, whom he married July 17, 1971; two sons, Walter J. of Niles and Michael J. of Girard; a sister, Cecelia Garafoli of Sharpsville; and two brothers, Lawrence S. of Hermitage and John of Greenville. A sister, Mary Rita Bowden, is deceased.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by Sherman Funeral Home in Sharon.
