RITA D. RICE, 84

FARRELL, Pa. -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCauley Funeral Home, Youngstown, for Rita D. Rice, 84, of 1520 Farrell Terrace, formerly of Coitsville, who died Saturday night in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, after becoming ill at home.
Mrs. Rice was born July 9, 1916, in Sharon, a daughter of George and Anna Reinhart Kemery, and came to Youngstown as a child. She was employed by Gondolier Craft and Flower Shop as a designer and retired from Cristman's Bakery in 1978, where she was a baker's helper.
Her husband, Norman Sr., whom she married Dec. 28, 1934, died July 5, 1981.
She leaves two daughters, Martha J. Ostavitz of Youngstown and Cheryl O'Connell of Farrell, with whom she made her home; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A son, Norman Jr., five brothers, Paul, Neil, Raymond, Carl W. and Harold Kemery, are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
