MYRA HUNT SORBER, 86

MINERAL RIDGE -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lane Funeral Home here for Myra Hunt Sorber, 86, of Glenn View Village, formerly of Florida, who died Monday morning in the nursing center.
Mrs. Sorber was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Johnstown, Pa., a daughter of Charles R. and Nancy Benshoff Hunt. She was a nurse for American Welding in Warren before retiring in 1976.
She was a member of the American Nurses Association and First Presbyterian Church here. She received a nursing degree in 1935 from Memorial Hospital in Johnstown.
Her husband, Sheldon D., whom she married in 1936, died Feb. 8, 1992.
She leaves two sons, Richard of Austintown and Robert S. of Diamond; a sister, Alice Griffiths of Johnstown; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Thomas D., is deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the church.
