AUCTIONS
XHappy Hearts Tamburitzans will hold its seventh annual Chinese auction Saturday at St. George Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Doors will open at 2 p.m. with drawings beginning at 6. Cost of $2 includes one ticket and coffee and cake. Food also will be available.
XRotary Club of Alliance will hold its 25th annual antique auction Saturday at the Alliance Armory, 1175 W. Vine St. A preview of items will begin at 8 a.m., with bidding starting at 9.
BAZAARS
XFirst United Brethren Church, 1900 Eastbrook Road, New Castle, Pa., will hold a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 17. In conjunction with the event there will be a bake sale, and soup and sandwiches will also be sold. Crafters may reserve a table for $7 by calling (724) 654-9653.
CRAFT SHOWS
XSt. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, will sponsor a "Spring Arts and Crafts Show" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Father Petric Social Hall at the church. Food will also be available as well as a bake sale. Admission is free.
DANCES
XItalian-American War Veterans, Capt. Charles Marino Post 3, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will sponsor a dance from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Those attending may take their own beverages, and there will be free setups. Cost is $10 per person. Call (330) 793-5213 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for tickets.
FUND-RAISERS
XTrumbull County 4-H Endowment Committee is sponsoring a dinner and auction at 6 p.m. Saturday at McMenamy's, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles, to raise funds for an endowment fund and to generate interest in the county's 4-H youth program. A buffet dinner, raffle, and live and silent auctions are planned; the committee is looking for items to be auctioned, including tickets for entertainment events, souvenirs, memorabilia and autographed celebrity items. All donations are tax deductible, and all donors will be recognized during the auction. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the 4-H office, Ohio State University Extension, 303 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. LECTURES
XYWCA of Youngstown's "Let's Go to Lunch" will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 15 in the second floor club room at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown. Speaker will be Nancy Harabuda, educator from the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor. Cost is $7, and reservations must be made by March 13 by calling (330) 746-6361.
SALES
XNewton Falls United Methodist Church , 336 Ridge Road, will sponsor a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 29 and 30 . Lunch will be served, and a bag sale will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday.
