LISBON -- Stage Left Players of Lisbon has filled its summer calendar with a musical theater classic, summer youth camp and Shakespeare in the park.
The musical, "Cabaret," will open the season June 28 at David Anderson High School with performances continuing June 29 and July 5-7.
The youth camp, open to those in eighth grade and younger, is scheduled the weeks of July 8 and 15 at the high school. The original show, "Kids on Broadway," will be staged July 26 and 27 on the high school stage.
Waterworth Park in Salem will be the setting for "Twelfth Night." The play will be presented Fridays and Saturdays for three weekends beginning Aug. 9.

Ensemble to perform
YOUNGSTOWN -- The newly organized Percussion Art Ensemble will be featured in the spring concert of Youngstown State University's Percussion Ensemble. The event is planned for 8 p.m. Friday in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center.
The musicians in the trio are Ron Coulter, graduate teaching assistant in percussion; Nathan Douds, sophomore performance major; and Craig Hill, junior music education major.
The percussion ensemble, directed by Dr. Glenn Schaft, will play works by Cuban composer Amadeo Roldan, Mexican and Guatemalen marimba tunes and other selections.

Wedding series to debut
Here come the brides.
"Gay Weddings," a reality series on cable's Bravo, will debut in August. Each 30-minute episode "will follow the joys and tribulations" of four gay and lesbian couples up to and including their wedding days. Eight episodes have been ordered.
Jenkins exhibit
YOUNGSTOWN -- The unique abstract expressionist works of Paul Jenkins, formerly of Struthers, will be featured in an exhibit to open at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler Institute of American Art, Wick Avenue, as part of the Interface program between the Butler and Youngstown State Uiversity art Department.
Jenkins who now lives alternately in Paris and New York City, often uses an unorthodox paint-pouring technique and most often works in an acrylic medium.
