WARREN -- A "Spirit Buffet" will be served by Trumbull County Historical Society members from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday and again Oct. 26 at Edwards House, 303 Monroe.

Junior military band
YOUNGSTOWN -- Learn about Junior Military Band at an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 at the band's rehearsal hall, Belmont and Francisca avenues.
The group is composed of Mahoning Valley musicians ages 12 to 21. Visitors may participate in the band's rehearsal that day. Large instruments will be furnished. Call (330) 759-2551 for details.
A patriotic polka
ENON VALLEY, Pa. -- Polka musicians will donate their time at a disaster relief benefit dance Oct. 27 at SNPJ Recreation Center, 270 Martin Road. All proceeds from admission and raffles will also be donated to victims of terrorist attacks.
Jack Tady, Joe Fedorchak, Bob Turcola, Jeff Pecon and Larry Placek orchestras and Veseli Fantje will play from 3 to 9 p.m. in the Alpine Room. Dinners will be served from 1 to 6 p.m.

Chamber orchestra
Compositions by Scott Joplin, Cole Porter and Aaron Copland will be performed by Seraphim Chorus and Chamber Orchestra at its "I Could Have Danced All Night" concerts at 8 p.m. Oct. 27 in St. Michael Church, state Route 46, Canfield, and at 4 p.m. Oct. 28 in First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. N.W.

Holiday craft show
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- "Holiday House 2001: Arts & amp; Heritage Show," an exhibition and sale of handcrafted items, will open Nov. 1 at Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, 124 E. Leasure Ave.
Stained glass, ceramics, paintings, florals and handmade soaps will be among the items. Admission is free. The show will close Dec. 22.
'A Christmas Carol'
CLARKS MILLS, Pa. -- "A Christmas Carol" will be performed at dinner shows next month by Clarks Mills United Methodist Church Drama Disciples. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 3, 9 and 10 at the church, 3813 Hadley Road, in Mercer County.
The musical is based on the famous Charles Dickens story. Cost is $10 for patrons ages 13 and older, $5 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children 3 and under. Call (724) 253-2424 on weekday mornings to make reservations.
