SHARPSVILLE -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church for Robert W. Kitch, 79, of 368 7th St., who died Saturday afternoon in Sharon Regional Health System hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Kitch was born Dec. 20, 1921, in Greenville, a son of Walter M. and Gay Hennen Kitch.
He graduated in 1941 from Penn High School in Greenville. He served in the Army Air Corps' 10th Air Drome Squadron during World War II, where he achieved the rank of staff sergeant. He worked 20 years at Alcan Aluminum in Warren, where he was a paint line operator.
He was a member of the church, Sharpsville Service Club, American Legion in Sharpsville, Knights of Columbus Sharon Lodge and Erie Cursillo No. 105.
He leaves his wife, the former Mary G. Freddo, whom he married Oct. 22, 1947; two daughters, Mary Kathryn Kitch of Erie and Deborah Ann Hedglin of Warren, Ohio; three sisters, Margaret Jordan of West Braddock, Pa., Virginia Haggerty of Madley, Pa., Anna Mae Hoffacker of Greenville; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus.
