RECALL Child swings
What: About 250,000 Little Tikes "2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure" swings for infants and young children.
Reason: The buckles on the swing can break and the shoulder restraint straps can pull out of the back of the seat, causing children to fall. At least five children have suffered minor injuries after falling out of the swing.
Description: The molded plastic swings have a blue seat and a red T-shaped restraint front, and are suspended with four yellow ropes. The "little tikes" logo appears on the T-shaped restraint bar, and the model number, 4117-00, is molded underneath the seat. Only swings with blue or white buckles are included in the recall.
Sold from: December 2000 through September 2001 at children's and toy stores nationwide for about $20.
What to do: Stop using the swings immediately and call Little Tikes toll-free at (800) 815-4820 to receive a free repair kit. Information on the recall also is available at http://littletikes.com/.
