Penn St. promisesto curb rowdy behavior
Penn State is increasing security in Beaver Stadium after a rise in rowdy behavior during home football games. University spokesman Bill Mahon said that the heightened security would focus on the student section, where 35 people were ejected for throwing water bottles during last week's 49-17 victory over Louisiana Tech.
Mario feels fine
The longer Pittsburgh Penguins' training camp goes, the better Mario Lemieux feels -- and the more games he plans to play this season. In June, Lemieux said he wanted to play 60 to 70 games, a season after an injured hip limited him to only 24. On Wednesday, he upped that number to as many as 75. "I'm getting there," Lemieux said. "It's been getting better every day, trying to push harder every day. I'm feeling better, especially handling the puck. It's always a good sign." Lemieux, who turns 37 on Oct. 5, said in June that he wanted to play 60 to 70 games but increased the number after a few workouts.
