NEW YORK-PENN LEAGUE Francisco's 4 hits lead Scrappers to 7-3 win

Mahoning Valley returns home tonight to meet Batavia at Cafaro Field.
BROOKLYN, NY -- The Mahoning Valley Scrappers used a double, a single and a home run to seize an early 3-0 lead and went on to defeat the Brooklyn Cyclones 7-3 in the New York-Penn League Monday.
Each team is 8-6 and the Scrappers have won eight of their last 11 games by sweeping four consecutive series.
Mahoning Valley won two of three games at Brooklyn's KeySpan Park for the second year in a row.
Perfect night at plate
Ben Francisco, who went 4-for-4, hit the first of his two doubles leading off the game. Later, David Wallace hit a two-run homer as Mahoning Valley took a 3-0 lead.
Blake Whealy put Brooklyn on the board with his second home run in as many days, in the bottom of the second, then the Cyclones scored twice in the last of the fifth to tie the score at 3. Chase Lambin drove in a run with an infield single and Jimmy Anderson hit a sacrifice fly.
Brian Wright and Sean Manfredonia had RBI singles in the eighth to put the Scrappers on top 5-3.
Mike Conroy drove in a run in the ninth.
Francisco scored three runs for the Scrappers, while Wright was 2-for-5 with 3 RBIs.
Shane Wallace pitched the first five innings, allowing five hits.
Winning pitcher Keith Ramsey and Ignacio Montano threw the final four innings, allowing no hits and striking out six.
Lambin finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Cyclones.
The Scrappers return home to Cafaro Field for a two-game set with the Batavia Muckdogs tonight and Wednesday. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
The first 1,000 fans (15 and older) will receive Jeff Wilkins bobbleheads.
