NATIONAL LEAGUE Baker calls to bench for aid, Feliz answers
Pedro Feliz heeded Dusty Baker's call for a pinch-hitter, and came through with the game-winning hit.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
SAN FRANCISCO -- Pinch-hitter Pedro Feliz drove in two runs with an eighth-inning single as the San Francisco Giants rallied to win in Barry Bonds' absence, beating the St. Louis Cardinals 5-2 Saturday. Bonds bruised his right wrist making a catch at the wall on Friday, and manager Dusty Baker gave him the day off.
San Francisco scored four runs in the eighth as the Cardinals' bullpen wasted a 2-1 lead and seven strong innings by Matt Morris. St. Louis lost its fourth straight game, while the Giants won for the 11th time in 17 games.
Felix Rodriguez (4-0) got two outs in the eighth for his second victory in two days. Robb Nen pitched the ninth for his NL-leading 24th save.

Astros 7, Brewers 4: MILWAUKEE -- Rookie right-hander Roy Oswalt pitched six scoreless innings, singled twice and had his first career RBI to lead Houston.
Oswalt (6-1) allowed four hits and improved to 4-0 in five starts since moving into the Astros' rotation on June 2. Oswalt, who missed his last start with a bruised right forearm, didn't walk a batter and tied a career best with eight strikeouts, including the side in the fourth.
He started the game by allowing back-to-back singles that put runners at the corners, but he allowed just two more singles to the next 19 batters, retiring 13 of the final 14 hitters he faced.
The Astros led from the start as Craig Biggio sent the first pitch from Allen Levrault (3-3) into the Brewers' bullpen in left field for his fifth leadoff homer of the season and third in nine games.
Oswalt made it 2-0 in the second when he drove in Vinny Castilla from third base with a sharp single to right.
Richard Hidalgo's 13th homer made it 3-0 in the third, and the Astros scored three more times in the fifth.
Hidalgo's sacrifice fly off Will Cunnane in the sixth made it 7-0.

Reds 7, Cubs 1: CINCINNATI -- Kelly Stinnett homered twice and Ken Griffey Jr. added a solo shot as Cincinnati took advantage of an off-day by Julian Tavarez.
Tavarez (6-5) had been one of the hottest starters lately on a pitching staff that has allowed the fewest runs in the NL. The right-hander had won his last three starts and pitched seven innings in each of his last four, a career first.
The streak ended with his worst performance of the season. The groundball specialist gave up three homers for only the second time in his career -- he had allowed a total of four all season.
The big lead helped 23-year-old Jose Acevedo (1-1) settle down and get his first big-league win in three starts.
