MARY PAINTER, 87
CANFIELD -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church for Mary Painter, 87, of 6935 Kirk Road, formerly of 507 Woodbine S.E., Warren, who died Saturday night in Forum Health Northside Medical Center, Youngstown, of congestive heart failure.
Mrs. Painter was born Nov. 8, 1913, in Warren, a daughter of Ilarion and Elizabeth Nusunoi Pora.
She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and was a homemaker. She moved to Canfield a year ago. She was a member of the church.
Her husband, John Sr., whom she married Feb. 18, 1934, died Dec. 30, 1997.
She leaves two sons, John P. Jr. of Howland and James D. of San Francisco, Calif.; a niece, Rodica Andrei of Canfield, with whom she made her home; a sister, Anna Graora of Framingham, Mass.; and a grandson.
Her stepfather, Lorion Mocodean, and a sister, Eugenia Baciu, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Peter Rossi & amp; Son Memorial Chapel, where a Saracusta service will be at 5:30 p.m.. Friends may also call for a half-hour before the service Wednesday in the church. Contributions may be made to the church.
