Hiram Men's Chorus
HIRAM -- Hiram Men's Chorus is seeking new singers for its 10th season of concerts on the Hiram College campus. Tenors and basses of all ages are welcome. Governor's arts awards
COLUMBUS -- Nominations close Oct. 12 for the 2002 Governor's Awards for Arts in Ohio. Individuals and organizations that have contributed to arts on regional, state and national levels are eligible. PBS station funds
COLUMBUS -- Public television stations WNEO (Youngstown) and WEAO (Akron) have been awarded $165,577 from the state capital improvements program with assistance from Ohio Educational Telecommunications. The stations will use the money to relocate their master control from the transmitter site in Salem to headquarters in Kent.
Public TV and radio stations and radio reading services may request capital improvement funds to cover up to 40 percent of a project's cost. OET prioritizes requests and submits its list to the state Office of Budget and Management.
There are 12 public TV stations, 34 public radio stations and nine radio reading services in Ohio.
