Mom's day service
YOUNGSTOWN -- Beulah Temple United Holy Church of America will be celebrating its Annual Mom's Day service Oct. 14. The 11 a.m. speaker will be the Rev. Michael Clemons of Akron, and the 3:30 p.m. guest will be Ark Ministries' pastor, Bishop James Dilling Ham and choir of Pittsburgh.
Hunger walks
CORTLAND -- The annual Cortland Area CROP Walk is Oct. 14. Registration is at 1 p.m. at Cortland United Methodist Church and the walk begins at 2 p.m. Money received from sponsors will be sent to Church World Service or the walkers' designated charity. One-fourth of the profits help Cortland Area Cares. There will be a 2 kilometer walk in conjunction with the 10 kilometer walk. Call (330) 394-8099.
The multidenominational Hubbard Christians in Action is sponsoring it's walk Oct. 14 to help stop hunger. Those walking take pledges for each mile they walk. Registration is at 1:30 p.m. and the walk starts at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church. For registration forms call (330) 534-4641.
75th anniversary

Autumn festival
AUSTINTOWN -- Grace Lutheran Church will present a Fall Fun Fest for all Austintown elementary pupils from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25. There will be food, games and prizes. The event is free.

NILES -- Harvest Party 2001 will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at Pleasant Valley Church for children 4 through 12. Costumes are optional. The free event offers games, hay rides and a rock climbing wall.
