LIBRARY PROJECT Shenango Valley

The Shenango Valley Community Library in Sharon will get a major face-lift, thanks to a state grant of $625,000 and the city's willingness to borrow an equal amount to finance the work. The project includes:
Replace upper concrete parking deck: $625,000.
Restore brick and slate on building exterior: $200,000.
Replace windows: $77,000.
Replace exterior lighting: $85,000.
Modernize interior elevator: $45,000.
Install lower level lift for handicapped-accessibility: $20,000.
Replace exterior doors: $10,000.
Design and engineering services: $86,500.
Contingency and other costs: $101,500.
