JOSEPHINE J. KEMPER, 75
NORTH LIMA -- Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kirila Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Josephine J. Kemper, 75, of 9661 Market St., formerly of Struthers, who died of thyroid cancer Sunday morning at home after an 18-month illness.
Mrs. Kemper was born April 16, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of Albert J. and Maria Turocy Smrek.
A graduate of The Rayen School, she was a homemaker and worked at Youngstown Sheet & amp; Tube during World War II.
She was a member of the church and was an officer of St. Charles Church in Boardman during the 1950s.
Her husband, Jack P., whom she married Aug. 4, 1943, died Oct. 6, 1998.
She leaves two sons, Paul E. of Poland and Kevin A. of Lisbon; five daughters, Jacqueline DeBucci of New Middletown, Mary Jo Ferguson of Canfield, Patrice Dado of South Bend, Ind., Hope Hellwig of North Ridgeville and Victoria Kemper of Cuyahoga Falls; a brother, Albert E. of Littleton, Colo.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Ann Maga and Mary Burris, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
