Hearing aid batteries
Hearing aid batteries
Duracell's new Easy Tab hearing aid batteries come with their own tool to make battery replacement easier. The tabs are brightly colored for visibility, large enough to be manipulated with a thumb and forefinger, and come off easily once the battery is in place. Batteries sell for between $6 and $10 per pack. The battery packs hold four, six or eight batteries each.
Staying sharp
Anyone concerned with the loss of brain cells with age will want to read the AARP Andrus Foundation's pamphlet called "Staying Sharp: Current Advances in Brain Research," by Dr. Guy McKhann, a professor of neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Copies can be downloaded from the Web at www.andrus.org.
