Group discusses plans for local eyesores
YOUNGSTOWN -- Buckeye Eyes & amp; Ears Block Watch meets 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss neighborhood eyesores, how to eliminate them and what can be done to properly maintain neighborhoods.
Speakers at the meeting, which will be at Word of Grace Church, 2724 Mount Vernon Ave., will be Councilman John Swierz, D-7th, and John Nittoli, block watch president.
Long days, short hours
WARREN -- Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will cut back its hours starting June 11 through the Labor Day weekend.
Summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5.
Youth camps in June
HOWLAND -- Two summer youth camps for ages 6 to 13 will be June 11-15, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Registration forms for the volleyball camp in the township park and arts and crafts camp at Howland Middle School are available at the township administrative building.
The cost, which includes a T-shirt, is $15 for residents, $30 for nonresidents. Call (330) 856-2340 for more information.
