AUSTINTOWN -- The Boxing Ministry of Austintown will have its third annual celebrity banquet from 4 to 7:30 p.m. April 6 at Old North Church in Canfield. Larry Holmes, undisputed heavyweight during the 1980s, and Earnie Shavers, former heavyweight contender, are among the guests. There will be a dinner and program along with memorabilia displays and sales. The cost is $20. NILES -- The Single Adult Ministry Network events this month include:

Scholar to speak
HIRAM -- Dr. Adbulaziz Sachedina, an authority on Islam, will speak on "The Challenges of Pluralism for the Faith Community: The Muslim Experience of Building Bridges" at Hiram College. He will speak on topics relating to the theme at 7:30 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Call (330) 569-5288.
Church plans events
YOUNGSTOWN -- Trinity United Methodist Church will have its men's annual pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. today. The speaker will be Mike Lapolla, executive director of the Mahoning County Boy Scouts.
The church is also collecting suitcases this month for foster and other children who move frequently. Suitcases can be dropped off at the church.

BOARDMAN -- Motivational speaker David Ring will speak at 6 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Fellowship.
10th anniversary
AUSTINTOWN -- Austintown Community United Church of Christ will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. David Roberts, on Sunday. The church will have only one service beginning at 10:30 a.m. with a special worship service involving many church members, including the children's Sunday school classes. A luncheon will follow. The Rev. Roberts is the 14th pastor of the church, which was formed in 1844. The church has more than 800 members.
Good Friday service
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will have a Good Friday worship service at 6:30 p.m. March 29 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Community Fellowship Choir.
People interested in taking part in the choir can rehearse at 5:30 p.m. Friday and March 22 and 1 p.m. March 16 and 23. Call (330) 782-8929.

YOUNGSTOWN -- "Out on a Hill," a musical dramatization on the Crucifixion and Resurrection, will be at 4 p.m. March 24 in New Hope Baptist Church.
'Women in White'
WARREN -- Trinity Baptist will observe "Women in White" at 4 p.m. Sunday. Sister Ruth G. Mosley of Cleveland will be the guest speaker. She worked closely with her late husband and pastor, the Reverend Dr. William D. Mosley Jr., for many years at Trinity Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Second Baptist Church in Warren and Tabernacle Baptist in Youngstown.
Priest to speak
BOARDMAN -- The Rev. George D. Gallaro will be the speaker for the 7 p.m. Monday meeting of the Society of Saint John Chrysostom (Catholic-Orthodox dialogue) Youngstown-Warren Chapter at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. WARREN -- The Wittenberg University Choir from Springfield, Ohio, will perform in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m. March 16.
Groups to perform
HOWLAND -- Two musical groups will perform in Howland Community Church at 7 p.m. March 23. They are The Rosewood Consort, which has been performing medieval and renaissance music in Ohio since 1982 and The Good News Quintet, which will perform several selections from its new CD, "A Light Unto My Path."
