Auction for team
CANFIELD -- A holiday auction is planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Canfield High School cafeteria to benefit the girls softball team. Among auction items are a Cleveland Browns vs. Tennessee Titans ticket package for four people, golf package for two people at Salem Golf Club to play with former Browns Jim Houston and Don Cockroft, sports memorabilia, a spa and beauty package and other gift items.
Another class
YOUNGSTOWN -- The gingerbread house class beginning Monday is filled, and another has been added for Dec. 10-11. For information, call the Mahoning County Career and Training Center at (330) 729-4100.
Angels open house
GREENFORD -- Angels for Animals will hold a Christmas open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 6801 Green Valley Drive, and at the new shelter, Angel Place, 4750 Route 165, Canfield.
There will be a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. Food and beverages will be available. Cats and dogs will be available for adoption at the Green Valley Drive shelter.
