CHARDON -- Ohio's lieutenant governor, Maureen O'Connor, will attend the final day of the Geauga County Maple Festival. The 73rd annual event will be April 4-7 on Chardon Square. O'Connor will assist in an auction of this year's prize-winning syrup, which will be chosen April 5. Pancakes and sausage will be served from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5-7. Cooper to visit hall

'Jazz Day at the Rock'
SLIPPERY ROCK, PA. -- More than 200 high school musicians will participate in an all-day "Jazz Day at the Rock" festival beginning at 9 a.m. April 6 at Swope Music Hall at Slippery Rock University.
The event will conclude at 5 p.m. at Miller Auditorium with a free public performance featuring the SRU Jazz Ensemble and Rufus Reid, legendary bass player, educator and composer.

CHAMPION -- Fast-fingered guitarist Michael Angelo and drummer John Sferra of Glass Harp will be guests at 1 p.m. April 7 at Fordeley's Music, 4922 Mahoning Ave. Angelo will lead a guitar clinic. NEW YORK (AP) -- Madonna will compose and perform the title song for "Die Another Day," the newest James Bond film, the producers announced.
"Die Another Day," starring Pierce Brosnan as Agent 007, is the 20th Bond adventure. Halle Berry will co-star. The movie is set for release Nov. 22.
