Senior citizens hold installation during meeting

YOUNGSTOWN -- An installation ceremony was on the agenda when members of Mount Carmel Senior Citizens met Feb. 14 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Deacon Joseph Nohra inducted Carmen Girardi, president; Marguerita Fossesca, vice president; Louis Pizzuto, secretary; Angie DelFlore, treasurer; and John Occhipinti, Josephine McMillen and Ange Cercone, trustees.
Girardi, a lifelong member of the church, is also a member of the church choir, an adult altar server and a member of the volunteer church cleaning group. He is retired from General Motors in Lordstown, where most of his 30 years of service was spent in the paint department.
The Mount Carmel Seniors meets the second Wednesday of each month in the social hall following noon Mass. Membership is open to all members of the church who are 55 or over.
