Live free or die
Local judges and defense attorneys who insist that accused murderers deserve low bails, would have a tough time trying out their arguments in New Hampshire. A New York Times story on the apprehension of suspects in the killing of two Dartmouth College professors reports that there is no bail in capital murder cases in the Granite State. Apparently, the people in New Hampshire take the state's slogan seriously. There, living free is not an option for those accused of violently causing others to die.
