Gaelic Society names Gael of the Year
STRUTHERS -- Dick McBride of Austintown was honored March 3 at a dinner dance at The Elm Tree in recognition of his being named Gael of the Year by the Mahoning Valley Gaelic Society.
A member of the organization for over 30 years, McBride has served as a club officer and as chairman and member of various committees. He and his wife, Norma, have been married for 38 years and have four children and two grandchildren.
McBride is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended Youngstown State University, where he was affiliated with Kappa Sigma Kappa, Theta Xi Fraternity. He is a member of FOE 3298 and is retired from Youngstown Steel Door Co. and the Austintown Local School District.
