YOUNGSTOWN -- State Rep. Sylvester Patton, of Youngstown, D-64th, will have a forum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road, to talk about high natural gas bills and electric deregulation.
The forum is to answer questions about recent changes in each industry.
Representatives will include the Ohio Consumer's Counsel, Public Utilities Commission, Dominion East Ohio Energy and Ohio Edison-First Energy.
Catholic schools
YOUNGSTOWN -- Elementary choral and band students from nine area Catholic schools will present a combined concert at 7 p.m. March 15 in Stambaugh Auditorium. Participating schools are St. Charles, St. Christine, Holy Family, St. Luke, St. Joseph, St. Paul, St. Patrick, St. Rose and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
ACTION conference
YOUNGSTOWN -- The good government task force of the Alliance For Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods will have a conference from 9 a.m. to noon on March 24 at John Knox Presbyterian Church, focusing on countering organized crime.
ACTION's conference will focus on lessons drawn from a local delegation's recent trip to Palermo, Sicily.
Also, community leaders and public officials will talk about the state of justice and ethics within the Mahoning Valley's criminal justice system and other public offices.

LISBON -- Columbiana County Career Center is accepting nominations through April 5 for the fifth annual wall of fame to be presented May 23 in conjunction with the senior awards ceremony.
