BERLIN CENTER -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Moriah Lutheran Church for Edith A. Kale, 74, of 15917 Shillings Road, who died late Friday in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Mrs. Kale was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Beloit, Ohio, a daughter of Carey and Agnes Greenawalt Jewell, and was reared by her mother and stepfather, Clyde Flickinger. She was a homemaker, was a member of the church, its Ladies Aid, Aid Association to Lutherans, Smith Grange, Home Extension Club of Berlin Center, Berlin Historical Society, Halfliner Horse Registry, Pamona Grange, and volunteered at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home.
Her husband, Forrest N., whom she married Jan. 31, 1946, died Oct. 14, 1986.
She leaves three sons, Bruce of New Springfield, Raymond of Berlin Center, and John of Damascus; a daughter, Beverly Truitt of Berlin Center; three sisters, Doris Yeager of Berlin Center, Elsie Colvin of Damascus and Irene Crawford of Canfield; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A sister, Vera Courtney, and a brother, Clifford Jewel, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel. Contributions may be made to the church.
