Youngstown State starters: Desmond Harrison, 6-5 senior, 10.2 points per game, 6.8 rebounds; Stephen Flores, 6-7 junior, 8.4, 5.7; TeJay Anderson, 6-6 freshman, 6.9, 4.0; Ryan Patton, 5-11 senior, 10.6, 2.2; Craig Haese, 6-2 senior, 14.1, 2.2.
Oral Roberts starters: Markius Barnes, 6-3, junior; Kyan Brown, 6-7 senior; Charlie Ludwig, 7-0 sophomore; Josh Atkinson, 6-3 sophomore; Luke Spencer-Gardner, 6-5 junior.
Game notes: The Penguins equaled their best record ever in Mid-Continent Conference play this year with 11 wins. Two of them were over Oral Roberts. The Penguins have been idle since Feb. 22 when they finished the regular season with an 88-84 win over Oakland (Mich.). Oral Roberts finished the season on a two-game losing streak, falling to Southern Utah 91-73 and UMKC 70-52. The Penguins are seeded No. 3 and the last time they held that seed was in 1999 and they advanced to the championship game before losing to Valparaiso 73-69.
The Series: Youngstown State swept both games this season but still trails 6-5. Oral Roberts defeated YSU three times last year, including a first-round Mid-Con Tournament game.
