WARREN -- Two city police officers were taken to the hospital when a woman backed out of her driveway on Comstock N.W., hitting their cruiser.
A spokeswoman at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital said officer Bill Boldin and Sgt. John Yuricek were treated Thursday after the accident.

So far, no citations have been issued, Stewart said.

Lordi still goes free
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ohio Supreme Court ruled Friday that former Mahoning County Commissioner Frank A. Lordi may remain free on bond while he appeals his conviction on criminal charges.
Lordi, 54, of Canfield, was found guilty in 1999 of charges including theft in office. He faces an 18-month prison sentence but has not begun serving it.
The 7th District Court of Appeals has denied Lordi's appeals. Lordi's attorneys have asked the Supreme Court to hear the case.
New roads sought
CANFIELD -- The developers of Stonebridge Estates are seeking permission to build two new roads off Timber Run Drive and extend that road north 500 feet.
Plans filed by Charles Masters & amp; Co. call for 28 mostly half-acre lots to be created on the new streets.
Masters said no decision has been made on a timetable for the development. The planning and zoning commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss creation of the lots.
Pacsi sentenced
FARRELL, Pa. -- Odette S. Pacsi will begin her one-year sentence in federal prison March 22 for stealing $589,000 from the National City Bank branch where she worked.
The U.S. Marshal's Office said Pacsi, wife of former Farrell Mayor Eugene C. Pacsi, is to report to the minimum-security camp at the prison in Alderson, W.Va.
Pacsi, 44, of East Judy Lynn Drive, admitted taking the money over 10 years.
After the completion of her sentence, she will serve five years' probation. She must also make restitution.
Pacsi faced up to 2 1/2 years in prison, but the court took into account her attorney's argument that she suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and dependent personality disorder, prosecutors said.
Planning director
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Lawrence County's Salary Board has created a position for a county planning director at a salary of $45,000 a year. County commissioners hired James Gagliano of North Beaver Township to head the department but could not set a wage until Friday's salary board meeting.
The county has been without a planning director since January 2000, when commissioners fired Steve Craig and combined county planning with the recycling and solid waste department to form the environmental services.
Environmental Services director Amy Jo Labi Corrando will now be director of the recycling and solid waste department under the new plan and be paid $39,329.94.
Gagliano starts work Monday.
Youngstown boy shot
YOUNGSTOWN -- A 15-year-old boy was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center after being shot in the right thigh in his home by a 14-year-old boy Friday afternoon.
Terrell Vaughn, of 1341 Berwick Ave., told police a friend came to his residence and showed him the .38-caliber handgun just before 1 p.m., not knowing the gun was loaded.
The gun discharged in the hand of the 14-year-old, who said he was sorry and ran out the door, Terrell told police. The shooting was accidental, the victim's cousin told police.
Terrell told police the gun belonged to the father of a friend of the 14-year-old.
