RUSSELL B. GINTERT, 97
CORTLAND -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Braceville United Methodist Church for Russell B. Gintert, 97, of 2256 Wilson Sharpsville Road, who died Thursday in Brunswick, Ga.
Mr. Gintert was born Feb. 10, 1904, in Carey, Ohio, a son of John William and Anna Brayton Gintert, and lived in Cortland 43 years.
He worked as a roller for Republic Steel for 44 years before retiring in 1969. He was a member of Carrol F. Clapp Masonic Lodge 655, Warren, and the Avion Travel Club. He was also a member of the Youngstown Consistory, 32nd degree.
Besides his wife, the former Eva L. Stocker, whom he married Sept. 21, 1927, he leaves two sons, Donald R. of Howland and James W. of Champion; a daughter, Judie Gill of Darien, Ga.; a sister, Doris Marshall of Warren; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Three sisters, Evea Gintert, Elizabeth Hudson and Ruth Harper; and five brothers, Raymond, Walter, John, Dean and William, are deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church. A Masonic service will be at 6:45 p.m.
