PERCY C. THORNTON JR., 60



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Bethel Baptist Church for Percy C. Thornton Jr., 60, of 1026 Ridge Ave., who died of a heart attack Monday afternoon in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Thornton was born Oct. 12, 1940, in Evergreen, Ala., a son of Percy Sr. and Alberta Lee Thornton, and came to Youngstown as an infant. He was a car detailer at True-2-Form Collision Repair Center in Hubbard for 10 years.
He was a deacon at the church and a member of its male chorus. He was a North High School graduate.
Besides his mother of Youngstown, he leaves his wife, the former Myrtle Haynes, whom he married Oct. 25, 1986; a son, Keith Stewart, two stepsons, Mychal A. Walker and Kevin L. Walker, a brother, Ronald S., and a sister, Laura E. Brady, all of Youngstown, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call one hour before services in the church.
Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
