ROSALYN SCHWARTZ LEBBY, 91



NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cunningham Funeral Home, Wilmington Road, for Rosalyn Schwartz Lebby, 91, of 3349 Wilmington Road, who died Thursday morning in Jameson Care Center.
Mrs. Lebby was born April 12, 1909, in Fayette City, Pa., a daughter of Jacob and Anna Nathanson Safier. A graduate of Slippery Rock University, she was an art teacher at Pollock Avenue School.
A past president of the local National Council of Jewish Women, she was a member of Tifereth Israel Sisterhood, Hadassah, the American Red Cross and Wimodausis and a charter member of the Walmo Garden Club. She was a member of Temple Hadar Israel and its sisterhood.
Her first husband, Samuel Schwartz, died Oct. 27, 1957. Her husband, Jack Lebby, died Nov. 12, 1995.
She leaves a daughter, Carole Schwartz of New Castle; two sons, Jack Schwartz of New Castle and Martin Schwartz of Hobe Sound, Fla.; a brother, Samuel Safier of Youngstown; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A son, Joseph Schwartz; a sister, Florence Allen; and a brother, Joseph Safier, are deceased.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
