Oct. 1, 1987: Indicted by Trumbull County grand jury on three counts of receiving stolen property and one count of drug abuse.Oct. 13, 1989: Eluded Greenville, Pa., police in a high-speed chase.Oct. 30, 1989: Drove his motorcycle into a small hill at the end of Palmyra Road, Warren, apparently trying to jump a creek to escape. He required hospital treatment for a leg injury and was held in Newton Falls jail. Charged with fleeing and eluding, expired plates, reckless operation and no operator's license.Oct. 31, 1989: Sentenced in Newton Falls to 16 days in jail stemming from an Oct. 15 matter in which he was charged with drunk driving, speeding, obstructing official business, and three counts of disorderly conduct. After that sentence, he faces more jail time from the chase.Jan. 9, 1990: Indicted on theft and forgery charges.Sept. 3, 1994: Flees police in high-speed chase through Warren, several townships and Portage County for about 80 minutes after theft of money from a relative's bank account; surrenders the next day.Sept. 6, 1994: Charges too numerous to list, along with past indictments from Ohio and Pennsylvania, are stacking up.Nov. 4, 1994: Indictments for felony fleeing and eluding and felony theft and issued.Jan. 4, 1995: Pleads guilty to felony charges in the police chase.Feb. 7, 1995: Gets 18 months in prison in theft case.Oct. 2, 1996: U.S. District Judge Peter Economus rules Mavroudis can go forward with his lawsuit against Warren Police Capt. (now police chief) John Mandopoulos and Patrolman Charles List, but other city officials must be dropped in a beating case.
