PETER EDWARD MAXIM, 56
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Catholic Church, Barnesville, Md., for Dr. Peter Edward Maxim, 56, of Germantown, Md., formerly of Youngstown, who died of a heart attack Tuesday in Gettysburg.
Dr. Maxim was born March 10, 1944, in Youngstown, a son of Peter and Mary Lou Emma McCann Maxim.
He was a branch chief for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Division of Medical Devices and Evaluation in Rockville, Md.
A graduate of Youngstown State University, he received his doctorate from West Virginia University.
He was a member of Mother Seton Parish and Knights of Columbus in Germantown.
Besides his wife, the former Sandra LaLumia, he leaves three daughters, Laura Crittenden of Frederick, Md., Caroline Hay of Rockville and Susan Maxim of Germantown; two brothers, Lawrence of Youngstown and Thomas of Plano, Texas; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at DeVol Funeral Home, Gaithersburg.
